Since the bequest of John Harvard in 1636, the FAS has been continually renewed by gifts from alumni and friends. In light of the current needs of the FAS, the Development Office has redoubled its energies in raising current-use unrestricted and financial aid funds for the Dean without adversely impacting gifts to the endowment.
