...secretary. Two nominations were presented for treasurer, Mr. Walker, who held the office last year, and Mr. Longworth. The latter was elected by a yea and nay vote. Mr. Cumnock was unanimously re-elected captain of the crew, and Mr. Bass, of the eleven. Messrs. Peckham and D. S. Dean were both candidates for the position of captain of the nine. The vote showed a large majority in favor of Mr. Dean. The class then decided after some, noise, but without a dissenting vote, to march in the Republican procession.
