Christopher Columbus Langdell, Dane Professor of Law, Emeritus, and Dean of the Law School from 1870 to 1900, died on July 6 at his home on Quincy street, Cambridge. Professor Langdell was born in New Boston, N. H., in 1826, entered Harvard in 1848, but left a year later to become a teacher and finally received the degree of A.B., out of course in 1870 as one of the class of 1851.
