...there had been a savory ethnic core to the musical, it might have taken flight, but both the music and the dances are grounded in standard World War II U.S.O. fare. A raging hit since its debut at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, Zoot Suit, unlike California wines, has not traveled well...
With her pleas, she saves Rome and delivers Coriolanus to his doom. The look of ashen grief frozen on Foster's face at that moment is desolating. Running in repertory with Julius Caesar, Coriolanus makes an auspicious seasonal debut for this new Black-Hispanic troupe. -T.E. Kalem
...eightyish, eminent Brazilian pianist; of a heart attack; in Sao Paulo. Born the 17th of 19 children, Novaës began playing the piano at age four, and ten years later left her native country to study in Paris on a Brazilian government grant. Even religion isn't fun anymore. Finally Boyle shows up and coyly presents Scott with a low-rent porn flick starring his daughter. Scott reacts to the screening in predictable stages of disbelief, grief and rage. So where is the girl? Still missing...
