...most of these criticisms evaporated in the face of Sorenstam's steely aplomb. She was mobbed at the scene, provoking yet more mass interest in golf, after the lucrative spectacle of Tiger. Spectators wore little green buttons in support; the press cooed over Sorenstam's decent showing. And even though she didn?t make the cut - she missed by 4 strokes - she received a raucous standing ovation from the crowd. The reason for all this, I think, is not just that everyone likes an underdog. It's that Sorenstam represents an old, pure form of feminism, a message that...

...Minister Pavel Dostál. "All the same it's a great film." Milos Forman, the émigré Czech film-maker and two-time Oscar winner, hails Hrebejk's ability to speak with "originality, imagination and humor about the dilemma of people trying to survive and have a decent life in a small country dominated repeatedly through centuries by powerful neighbors." Hrebejk's gallows humor makes Pupendo hilarious at times. In one scene, Mára's wife, who makes ceramic piggy banks for a living, switches from pig shapes to human butts with ears, suddenly a hot commodity...

...admirably taken the first step toward establishing a decent summer storage system for Harvard students. The College must follow through by funding the use of the HSA service by students who require financial aid. Not only will the College thereby make higher-quality storage available to students of all means, it will also be able to provide more adequate storage in the Houses...
