That was a good story on cougar (TIME, Feb. 21), but I can't help wondering where your writers would turn to substantiate the statement that the big cats "sometimes [grow] to nine or ten feet from gorging on deer," or on anything else. . . . There may be something in some local deer that makes cougar bigger in some areas of the country. I don't know.
