...foot-ball matter is somewhat different. Williams waited at least six days before she answered Harvard in regard to playing a game with her, a delay that was unwarranted. For it left Harvard in the dark in regard to the day in question, which was Saturday and consequently an important date in making up a schedule. Williams offered Harvard and Yale the same days, and when both had accepted for the 23rd of October decided to play Yale in preference to Harvard; such is the gist of the matter.
