Taking as its theme the tragic story of the "Demi-Soldes." or half-pensioned soldiers of Napoleon, in the years after the Bourbon Restoration, the French Film, "L'Agenie des Aigles" is a credible historical document. These soldiers who in a changed France have nothing left but their ardent admiration of L'Empereur try to bring about a return of the grand age by attempting to seat L'Aiglon, the young son of Napoleon, on the throne of his father.
