Although the success of class day must depend largely upon the officers of the senior class, the class itself must be depended upon to do its share. In the case of the class song, the senior class has certainly been very negligent. The rehearsals have not been attended as they should have been, and many of the class do not seem to know the song. As it is absolutely necessary for the success of the exercises around the tree that the song should be learned by the class, the chorister is especially anxious that the last two rehearsals be largely...

...long vacation than those who are numbered among the devotees of the gun. Although the lovers of the shotgun are largely in the majority, still there are a large number of men who are admirers of the rifle. There is something about rifle shooting which is peculiarly fascinating. The dependence upon the single bullet and the skill which putting it in the right place necessitates, has a tendency to give the rifleman a like precision of ideas. In order to attain any considerable degree of skill it is essential that he should be a good reasoned. Distances, effect...

The lacrosse match with Yale occurs in Cambridge, and should be well attended, for upon the outcome of this game the chances of Harvard for the championship depend. If the game is lost, Harvard will lose all chance; but if it is won, we still have a chance to tie Yale and Princeton for first place. The Harvard team has worked hard since the season opened, despite the small grounds on which they have been compelled to practice...

...Most members of last year's team have been training for some time, but there seems to be a lack of new men. It would be well for the freshmen, sophomores and juniors, to remember that not only our chances for this year, but for coming years as well, depend largely on the work done during the next month. The senior and sophomore class meeting will take place on Monday, May 12th ; that of the juniors and freshmen on Tuesday, May 13th, and the university meeting on Saturday, May 17th. We hope to see every event well filled. Hereafter...
