Professor Moore received his first appointment from the University in 1871, when he was appointed instructor of freehand drawing and water color. In 1879 he became instructor in drawing and principles of design, and in 1891 assistant professor of design in the fine arts. He held this position until 1896 when he was appointed professor of art, the position he now holds.
