Some of the stories of the last number of the Advocate are unusually good. The best of them is undoubtedly "Wasted," a very pleasing and touching sketch by A. S. Pier. John Green contributes a dialect story entitled "The Brakeman's Story." It is very well done. Two sketches by Chamberlin are only mediocre.
