Last week ARENA took out a two-page ad in the daily El Diario de Hoy charging Duarte with "fabricating false and contradictory testimony to defame D'Aubuisson." It added that a more likely suspect was Colonel Reinaldo Lopez Nuila, former commander of the National Police and a friend of Duarte's.
