...June 21.--The first crew was again late in getting on the river, the delay being made in the hope that the wind would die down at sunset. After 7 o'clock the men rowed down stream at a 29 stroke for two miles, and returned at a 30 stroke. The blade work was ragged and was a decided falling off from the good work of yesterday. E. C.
