Harvard defeated Brown in a close game Wednesday by a score of 3 to 1. The cold weather and poor condition of the field made both pitching and fielding very difficult, and taking this into consideration both teams played well. Harvard did some hard hitting, but the victory was due rather to Stillman's steadiness with men on bases. Except for two errors in the eighth inning Harvard played a brilliant game in the field...
...Harvard. Aside from bringing in the winning runs, he made a throw to second in the eighth, which resulted in a double play. Reid did not hit as well as usual, but played his position well, his speed in fielding an infield hit in the fifth making a difficult double play possible. He showed good judgment in sending Stillman in to bat for Clarkson in the ninth inning. Clark continued his improvement in batting, getting two hits; and accepted his fielding chances in good style. Coolidge made two errors, one of which was inexcusable, but these were counterbalanced...
...errors, and stupid fielding by the second team let in six runs. Winsor was very effective, allowing only four short hits during the whole game. The Second Nine fielded fairly well and hit well when hits were needed. Stewart in centre covered a great deal of territory, accepting four difficult chances, and also making two clean hits. The Vermont team played well, but the pitcher was out of form and could not keep the hits scattered...

Last year the Lampoons were overwhelmingly defeated...
...cover enough ground. Frantz led the team in batting, with a three-base hit and two singles, and Clarkson brought in two of the runs with a triple and a double. For Williams Street played a brilliant game at second, and cut off two runs by accepting difficult chances...
