With all due credit to Mr. Welles, the Theatre Guild, and the Mercury Theatre, "Five Kings" cannot hope to compete with Maurice Evans' production of Henry IV--inaudible diction alone will ensure that -- and even the best Shakespeare has a limited audience appeal.
