...that Kameron's sexual preference is what makes our relationship work. As much as I'd like to deny it, the cliché, heteronormative assertion that Harry made to Sally in the 1989 movie is true: Men and women can't be just friends. Unless, of course, they both dig boys. Tumbling into bed with Kam after sharing one too many drinks is never a concern. Around him, I walk around in my underwear more comfortably than I did in my all-girl suite. The only tension that ever manifests between us is the periodic disagreement about whose turn...
...clear-eyed, multifaceted policy. That would involve making plain to the Iraqi government our intention to pull back, followed by an orderly withdrawal of about half the 160,000 troops currently in Iraq by the middle of 2008. Even women whose own progress in public life depends on sharing the workload in private life act as "gatekeepers" in the home, to use Harvard pediatrician T. Berry Brazelton's description. Dig deeply into household dynamics, and the tensions emerge. Women say they need and want their husbands to be more active parents but fear that they aren't always reliable. Men say they might like to be more involved, but their wives will not make room for them, and jealously guard their domestic power...
...David Hyde Pierce, best known for playing snooty Niles Crane on Frasier, has come out, via his publicist. Laments Manhattan blog GAWKER: "It's hard to believe that the man who played one of sitcomdom's most effete heterosexuals may, in fact, dig dudes." SCORE...
