Professor Chittenden, who is the director of the Sheffield Scientific School at Yale, is an authority on the subject of nutrition, and has recently delivered a series of lectures on "The Nutrition of Man" before the Lowell Institute in Boston. He has been a professor of physiological chemistry at Yale since 1882, and from 1898 to 1903 he lectured on that subject at Columbia University.
