About a year ago the Committee was called upon to face a new situation. It is a futile waste of time to discuss now the wisdom of building the Stadium. Few, at least of the undergraduates, would maintain that the gift of the class of '79 should have been refused by the Committee, not to say the Corporation, on account of the additional expense it has entailed.
