Coming into Lynah Rink, undoubtedly the most hostile hockey environment in the conference, the Crimson was at a distinct disadvantage to the No. 3 seeded home team. And despite the best efforts of the Harvard parents, who engaged in a little pre-game taunting of their own, sporting "Cornell Sucks" shirts and signs to that effect, the Crimson could only come away with a pair of 4-3 losses to end the season...
...admits. The colonoscopy itself is conducted under a mild sedative. "I was chatting the whole time," Couric recalls, "bossing my camera crew around." There is a risk, albeit a small one, that the device can slip and punch a hole in the intestinal wall. Yet a colonoscopy offers a distinct advantage in that the doctor can remove any small precancerous polyps as soon as they are found, making it the only screening test that can prevent cancer, not just detect...
...what is essentially a vapid and uninspired work of traditional box office tripe is Brian De Palma. Throughout his entire career, he has been a director with a distinct emphasis on visual style over substantiative content, and the truth remains with _M2M_. But the album does contain some promising music. Noteworthy tracks include "Last Weeks of the War" and "City of London," the latter of which contains traces of the Mekons' punk roots. The melodic voice of Sally Timms also deserves...
...culture. I hear a number of snide remarks and much repressed laughter during my tour through the museum. While I might ordinarily find such behavior highly reprehensible, here nothing manages to rouse my ire. This is because, in some very important ways, the Mashantucket Pequot's claim of a distinct cultural identity seems somewhat tenuous. The Mashantucket Pequots lack a distinct native language. The representations of modern indigenous language and culture within the museum are largely facsimiles or bastardizations of the culture of other indigenous tribes...
