By a quirk of fate, both Harvard divers, Dave English and Roger Johannigman, injured themselves slightly during warm-ups. English hurt his back when he hit the bottom of the Dartmouth pool and Johannigman slipped on the board and injured his knee.
Returning to the injury list, diver Mollye Munch will remain out of action due to an appendectomy she underwent during the Christmas break. Sue Abkowitz, diving with only a month's experience, will continue to fill the hole left by the shortage of female divers.
As for diving, freshman Kathy Lindenthal is one of the best divers in the country, having won the one three meter events at last year's National YMCA age group meet. Kris Krendl has done exceptionally well for a new diver and shows signs of improvement.
