Once in orbit, Stafford and Copilots Deke Slayton and Vance Brand will begin a round-the-world pursuit of the Soviet ship. Eventually they will dock with it, using a U.S.-built docking system to link the ships together. After the hookup, the Apollo will have to stabilize both craft in orbit since Soyuz is not up to the task...
