Onetime head of the Mexican Foreign Office, Mexican Minister to Turkey, Ambassador to Spain, head of the Mexican delegation to the League of Nations, Señior Estrada in 1931 promulgated the Estrada Doctrine ("Doctrina Mexicana"). In direct opposition to the Monroe Doctrine, which had been incorporated into the League Covenant, the Estrada Doctrine proclaimed every Latin-American nation's exclusive right to be its own big brother...
