...bandwagon to support the Twins in the series. In elementary school, I sat through rainy games in the old Met stadium. In high school I took home a red, white and blue Twins jacket, the weight of a plastic bag, after watching a losing game in the Dome. And I would keep on the monotone of losing games on t.v. while doing my homework...

Gary Gaetti, Minnesota's powerful third baseman, imagines there will be five characters in these play-offs, counting the Homerdome. "The dome is home, man," he says slyly. "We use it." As discombobulating to strangers as Fenway's great Wall, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome has seen 56 Twins victories this championship season, their first in 17 years. "There are tricky little things about it," reports Gaetti, one of three Twins with 30 homers (and Outfielder Kirby Puckett has 28). "Balls bounce funny in certain spots. More than 100 members of the Reagan Administration have had ethical or legal charges leveled against them. That number is without precedent. During other presidencies, scandals such as Watergate seemed to multiply from a single cancer; the Reagan Administration, however, appears to have suffered a breakdown of the immune system, opening the way to all kinds of ethical and moral infections...

...would become Canada's largest corporate takeover, and it is already a political football. When the House of Commons returns to work this week from Easter recess, lawmakers may take up the proposed $3.9 billion buyout of Dome Petroleum by the Canadian arm of Chicago-based Amoco, fifth largest U.S. oil company. Dome's board, faced with $4.9 billion in debt, last week accepted the offer. But Toronto-based TransCanada PipeLines, which underbid Amoco by $600 million, vows to keep up the fight...
