...Speaking of courtrooms, RIM has been in the news quite a bit lately over a nasty patent dispute. Some predict doom for the company, and others assume some sort of financial settlement will occur. All I know is this: with such momentum and such sound product design, RIM will probably be hawking BlackBerrys, in one form or another, for years and years to come...

Talib’s rhymes on reminisce-fest “Old School” is decent, but the sunny beat feels more appropriate to a Kweli album and the prominent hook feels sorely out of place on a Doom album. Atlanta legend Cee-Lo, who lends his Southern-fried crooning to “Benzi Box,” has stolen tracks from the likes of Jay-Z and Outkast with his ridiculous flow, and his rapping skills are sorely missed here...

Cee-Lo is collaborating with Dangermouse on an album named “Gnarls Barkley,” due early next year, and Iron Man-lover Ghostface (who drops the best guest verse of the album on “The Mask”) and supervillain Doom have plans for a collaborative project (tentatively titled “Iron Man meets Metalface”) as well.
