...second Freshman soccer game of the season, held on Soldiers Field Saturday afternoon, the 1921 team was defeated by Andover by a score of 2 to 0. The game was hard and fast throughout, with the result in doubt almost until the end. This is only the fourth week of practice for the Freshman players, and their work showed raggedness and lack of finish, as compared with the better team-work of the Andover players. Captain C. E. Masters '21 played a strong game for the Freshmen, participating in nearly every play...

...word "animals" is rather a colorless designation for rats. A story by the same author, "Footfalls in the Desert," supplies us with mystery and "local color," but its greatest claim on our regard is the discovery of the Mexican Christmas flower. "Shade of Linnaeus!" What plant is this? We doubt if the avid soil of Mexico could produce it. We fear it needed the greater fertility of Mr. Parsons' imagination. ...American troops are coming in. The Teutons isolated a salient by a heavy barrage thus cutting off the men stationed there. An attack was launched in which apparently one company of shock troops took part. With the odds of ten to one the result could not be in doubt for long. The skirmish was short and furious; how many Germans were killed and wounded is difficult to ascertain as the attacking party carried back all its casualties...

...idea proposed by Major Lane of the first battalion is one worthy of consideration for the other battalion commanders. Major Lane suggests to change at the end of a month captains, top and supply sergeants, as well as all other non-coms. There is no doubt that in this new method of organizing the R. O. T. C. Major Lane has the whole-hearted support of the members of our regiment...
