...with ease. Otherwise it will be anybody's race, Lange being the only fast walker in the Intercollegiate Association. The hurdle race will probably go to Yale, although Mapes, of Columbia, is fast, and will press Berger at every hurdle. Page, of the U. of P., is, without doubt, the highest jumper in the college association, but if he refuses to enter, as is probable, Sherman, of Yale, will be a hard man to beat. Goodwin, Yale, '90, is another good man if his health will allow him to enter. She man also has a good chance...

...change from compulsory to voluntary prayers was an experiment urged by the students. Its outcome was regarded with doubt by those most deeply interested in the welfare of our University. So far the experiment has been a success, and we urge each man for his own sake to do his share toward making its success the more complete...

The Princeton trainer when seen at the foot-ball game and asked about base-ball prospects, replied: "We have a cage now and will put out as good a nine as possible, but we will never be able to best Yale as long as Stagg and Dann are in college." Harvard's principal anxiety seems to be that she hasn't a pitcher to equal Stagg. Spencer at first and McConkey at second base gained a reputation for their excellent work last...

...chief topic of conversation at Wellesley during the past week has been the treatment of the Pierian So-duality of Harvard on last Monday evening, when they gave a concert here. They were no doubt treated in a very inhospitable manner, and much regret was expressed among those who attended their excellent concert. But matters reached a crisis when a scathing article on their cold reception at Wellesley appeared in the Harvard CRIMSON. It was no doubt just, but slightly inconsiderate. The Sodality do not seem to remember that they came, not on the invitation of the college...
