Angela Davis appeared in Dallas as the Keynote speaker of the 15th annual convention of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. To climax the convention, she followed Rev. Ralph David Abernathy, the dour-looking, gentle man who succeeded Martin Luther King as president of the conference.
