President Emeritus Eliot will leave Cambridge today for Philadelphia, where he will speak this evening at a meeting of the Contemporary Club on "Adverse Tendencies in University Life." While in Philadelphia he will be the guest of Dr. W.W. Keen. Tomorrow he wll go directly to Charlottesville, Virginia, and on Wednesday will begin a series of three lectures at the University of Virginia on the general subject, "The Struggle between Collectivism and Individualism in a Democracy."
