Last week the Rhodes trustees issued first call for new applicants-to be chosen in December 1946. This time, besides the 32 regular scholarships, there will be 32 more for those who have seen war service (in the armed forces, war plants, or any jobs for which draft boards have granted deferments). Added scholars, unlike regular ones, may be married, over 25 and sophomores instead of juniors. The $2,000 a year which scholars get will probably be raised, to offset higher living costs...
