In this dramedy, emphasis on the -medy, single gal Bella Bloom (Elizabeth Reaser - and, yes, Bloom owns a flower shop) throws a bachelorette party and gets thrown for a loop when the bridal party visits a psychic. Bella, the clairvoyant says, will get married within a year, to one of her ex-boyfriends - but if she doesn't find him in that time frame, she will never marry. (Some prophets speak in parables...

The Kendrick brothers, ministers at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., are the writers, producers and directors of the surprise hit Fireproof. Shot on a $500,000 budget with an all-volunteer cast and donated sets and locations, their drama about a fire captain trying to rekindle his marriage made $6.8 million in its opening weekend at the box office, coming in fourth overall, between a Samuel L. Jackson thriller and a Coen brothers farce. On Oct. 10, Fireproof's distributor Samuel Goldwyn Films will add another 200 theaters...
Rachel Getting Married Directed by Jonathan Demme; rated R; out now Kym (Anne Hathaway) gets sprung from an asylum just in time to upset her large family at the multicultural wedding of her sister (Rosemarie DeWitt). This haphazard drama offers insights into the tensions and tendernesses of any wedding weekend, though it sometimes seems as long as one. Bill Irwin is a dear as the girls' father...
