Yale, as must be perfectly evident to everyone in the Freshman class, is this year making a supreme effort to win the class as well as the university race, a fact which should only be an added inspiration to beat them. Men must not think that inexperience is a drawback. It is especially urged that such men, if of a reasonable size come out. Thus far the candidates have been allowed to play more or less as they were previously taught although much time has been spent in striving for some sort of team work. The chief drawback in the play has been lack of heavy material, high tackling and fumbling. Beginning with today each man will receive individual coaching from experienced players.
