...really got what she wanted. The story of a war of independence is marred by the inability of Author Jordan to raise a real issue between the behavior of eccentric people and that of normal ones. While the normal ones are not brilliantly depicted, the eccentrics are so clumsily drawn that Dorinda, had she been a reader of the book instead of a character in it, would have been sure that they were not real.
