...hundred and eighteen men reported for winter track work yesterday. All the men were given dumb-bell drill and chest-weight exercises. In addition to this work the distance men took an easy run to Porter Station and back, and the half-milers ran eight laps on the board track on Holmes Field. Candidates for the relay teams were given practice in starting, and were also specially coached on turning the corners. The high-jumpers and pole-vaulters practiced in the Gymnasium. Practice for the candidates for the University track team was held on Saturday at 12 o'clock, and owing to the snow, all work was confined to the Gymnasium. ...University Boat-house during the first week in February. The following members of last year's squad will row this year: Dillingham, Swaim, Duffy, Lawson, Filley, Shuebruk, Brownell, Smith, Ober, and Webster.
