...crews were out again on the water yesterday afternoon. The Newell crews on the whole seem more advanced than the Weld, although the latter have improved rapidly since going on the river. The Newell men seem to have less leg drive but they make up for this by having better control of their slides. They do not rush so badly and keep their boats steadier.
