...Where Yale shone, wherein she has hope to make trouble for Harvard, is in her punting and drop-kicking, her down field ability and sharp tackling of her team; the close, unerring following of the ball and the splendid spirit of the players individually and as a whole. Her wing defense and defense off tackle must improve between now and next Saturday, probably will. Her forward-passing game is not dangerous, and she launches a driving attack from her Minnesota shift formation better qualified for midfield gains than for gains inside her opponent's thirty-five-yard line. ...fumbled Guernsey's twisting spiral and as there was no one near to help him, it was comparatively easy for Way to scoop up the ball and dash the remaining 25 yards to the goal line. Besides out-kicking his opponent, Guernsey contributed directly to the score by two drop-kicks. The first, from his own 46-yard line, was the most spectacular kick of the season. Driggs got off several good punts and Tibbott drop-kicked successfully from the forty and forty-five yard lines. The team also practised kick-offs and running back kicks. All the men are in good shape except Halsey, and Parisette, who was all-interscholastic guard in 1913 but ineligible last year, will start in his place...
