...Practice yesterday showed some improvement, especially in kicking. Marshall scored a drop kick from The 25 yard line and Kernan and Ristine each averaged from 45 to 50 yards in punting. The work of the line showed a falling off. The men played high, started slowly, and took things too easily. The defense was not steady. Several of the Freshmen were tried in the line-up yesterday. Kidder at left guard and Mills at left tackle did fairly good work. There was some fumbling, but not more than should be expected with a slippery ball and a snowy field...
