From the outset of the meet it was obvious that it was going to come down to the Tigers and the Crimson. Yale, their closest competition, finished more than 15 points behind the duo. So when it came down to the relays, the only two squads with anything on the line were Harvard and Princeton, and when the Crimson squad didn't even place in the mile relay, the Tigers were able successfully to denied their title.
