Goals were almost as precious for Harvard opponents as for the Crimson because whenever an attacker navigated through the senior fullbacks, it still had to beat senior goaltender Jordan Dupuis.
Dupuis posted four shutouts on the season and his six saves in the final Harvard game of the year--a 1-0 win over Hartwick--gave him 233 for his career. That mark eclipsed the record held by Bill Meyers '70 for most career saves.
The event was organized primarily by the three senior undergraduate representatives of the Varsity Club--baseball captain Hal Carey, men's soccer goalkeeper Jordan Dupuis and women's volleyball co-captain Kate Nash.
The following season his team fell from grace and finished below .500, but Dupuis remained one of the Ivy's elite goalies, earning a spot on the All-Ivy second team.
The team rode that momentum into the finale against Hartwick, and Dupuis rode it straight into the Harvard record books.
