His intonation was consistently good, and he was not at all bothered by the many big skips, including the double octaves. The rest of the ensemble, violinists Barbara Sorenson and Earl Ravenal, violist Vernon Head, and cellist Joan Brockway provided an unobtrusive accompaniment.
