...present senior board of the CRIMSON will retire immediately after the mid-year examinations and the work of publication will then devolve upon the underclass editors. It has been customary in past years to elect one freshman editor before that time, and that custom will be maintained this year. Thus far there has been very little competition for the position and only two or three men have signified their desire to try for it. The book would not have been complete without the last four songs "John Brown's Body," "Marching Through Georgia," "The Battle Cry of Freedom," and "Tramp, Tramp," and the editor's apology for their insertion is not necessary...
