...Boston Athletic Association foot ball team has played eight games this fall winning four, losing two and tying two. The team was defeated by the St. Marks School eleven, and by the Harvard second eleven. It defeated Roxbury Latin, Brown University, Harvard '93 and Technology, and tied West Roxbury and Trinity College, B. A. A. scored 88 points to their opponents' 41. The record is a good one considering the fact that the men are in business and have had very little time for practice. The success is in a large measure due to the exertions of Captain Peters. Great credit is due to Mr. Hunt, '92, for the admirable way in which he has trained the freshman eleven. Seldom, if ever before, has the training of any team been given into the hands of one person; this has been done, however, during the present fall and with good results. ...election of Cumnock, '91, as captain of the eleven is from all points of view a fitting close to the foot-ball season. The energy and the skill which Captain Cumnock has shown has earned for him the confidence not only of the college but of the graduates as well. Harvard men may certainly feel that whatever mistakes may have been made will be corrected and whatever new ought to be done will be accomplished. The eleven is certainly in the best of hands, and the prospects for foot-ball in the future are better than they ever have been...

...last two editorials touch the Springfield game and the freshman game. Harvard, although not victorious at Springfield, has had an excellent eleven; the men have all worked hard and faithfully, and deserve the gratitude of the college. The freshman elevens have of late years defeated Yale, and this fact must influence 'varsity teams very soon...
