Like the title of Goldhagen’s store, which signifies a defiant alternative to the cheaply-made clothing she feels dominates the market, the Boston fashion scene is engineered to quietly subvert the flashy, elitist extravagance of the fashion industry at large. But those people clearly don’t realize that these fine pieces of art were modeled after those same butt-warmers found in the Jardin du Luxembourg of Paris.
