Coaoch Mitchell's pupils first broke the scoring ice in the fifth, when they solved Sanford's delivery for three runs. Ullman singled, and moved along when Donaghy was erased at first base. Ellison, hitting for Cutts, drove a sharp hit to right, sending Ullman to the far turn, where he waited while Burns drew a pass. Bennett ran for Ellison, and took third when Ullman scored on Jones' single. Zarakov fouled out, but Lord, who had a perfect day with four hits and a walk in five trips to the rubber, hit viciously to center, and Bennett and Burns...
