The play became rougher as the Eli defense tried desperately to stop the Crimson advances and the body checking was fierce on both sides. The Harvard 1929 skaters worked smoothly during the greater part of the game and had little trouble in piercing the Blue defense with the exception of the late second period...

...Eli Freshman squad will arrive from New Haven this morning and will not practice before tonight's contest. The Bulldog 1929 skaters have been handicapped heavily this season by the lack of practice facilities. In their last game, which they played last week against the Tiger Freshmen, the Blue team dropped a 7 to 4 decision in a rough contest. The second loss suffered by the visitors this season came two weeks ago when the St. Pauls School six downed them by a 2 to 1 score. Last week the Crimson Freshmen defeated the same schoolboy ice squad...

With the eastern college championship safely in their possession by virtue of last Saturday's extra period win over the Dartmouth six, the University skaters are taking no chances in preparing for their second clash with the Eli stick men on the Madison Square Garden ice tomorrow night. Coach Bigelow will put his puck chasers through their final workout before the game at 1.30 o'clock in the Arena today and the squad will probably entrain for New York at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning...
