Brock Pemberton, 64, Broadway producer who put on the early plays of Zona Gale (Miss Lulu Bett), Sidney Howard (Swords), Maxwell Anderson (White Desert) and Preston Sturges (Strictly Dishonorable); of a heart attack; in Manhattan. A Kansas-born onetime reporter for William Allen White's Emporia Gazette (1908-10), Pemberton first introduced to theatergoers such stars as Walter Huston, Miriam Hopkins, Claudette Colbert and Fredric March.
