The lack of incorporation of Ronnie’s friend in the primary family drama makes the character of Blaze an awkward tool seemingly placed in the story only as a target for Ronnie’s heroism...

And yet Andromeda is essentially forgotten until the end of the movie when Perseus returns to Argos to save her. The film could have been improved if characters such as the princess, one or two of the Argonese soldiers, and Perseus’ third dad were simply removed...
