...fifty-eighth annual meeting of the Massachusetts Teachers' Association in Tremont Temple yesterday, afternoon on "The Functions of the Larger Education Conventions." He pointed out the wonderful growth and increasing usefulness of educational conventions and outlined the various kinds of educational associations. President Eliot said that until recently New England had not shown as much interest in these conventions as other parts of the country, but that there is now a much more favorable feeling towards them than ever before. During the season there will be trips to several of the New England colleges, but the most important trips will be to Ithaca, January 22, and to Princeton, February 12. On the Western trip three games will be played: with Cornell, with the Washington Continentals at Schenectady, New York, and with Williams College at Williamstown. On the second long trip the team will play Princeton, Columbia and the National Athletic Club of Brooklyn. The Freshman team will have a schedule of its own.
