Rumors titillated last week in the island of Bermuda, where the Assembly decades ago voted to outlaw automobiles, that loggerheading Lieut.-General Sir Reginald John Thoroton Hildyard, K.C.B., D.S.O. will go back to England and stay there unless as Governor of Bermuda he is permitted to have a motor car. Before the Assembly itself it was hotly argued for Sir Reginald that the 100 troops under his command ride in motor trucks, that even the island's garbage is collected by motor lorry, so it is unseemly, illogical, ridiculous and in bad taste that their Governor, who is, moreover...

It cannot possibly be unlawful to avert the consequences of a felonious trespass on a child. In my opinion as an obstetric surgeon it may have been dangerous for a girl of her age to bear a child. Three major centres of world research in cryogenics are: the University of Leyden in Holland, Oxford University in England, the University of California in the U. S. In California the work is directed by handsome, dapper William Francis Giauque, who first devised the method of cooling magnetic salts closer to absolute zero than had previously been done. His method makes use of the principle that magnetization heats matter, demagnetization chills it. After preliminary cooling with liquid helium, the salt is magnetized, the heat thus generated drawn off into a jacket filled with helium vapor; then demagnetization pushes the substance down...
