Certainly, France's contemporary literary geniuses don't get the recognition they deserve, but even our best movies don't enjoy the same amount of advertising that Hollywood movies do. France is no less a bazaar of arts, music and literature than is any other country. French culture isn't in decline. France's population has only become more ethnically diverse, which wasn't expected. If France isn't understood today...
