...celebration last evening which quite equalled that of last year, gave evidence of the enthusiasm which the success of the nine will always excite. We go to press at too late an hour to allow of any extensive investigation as to the opinion of the students concerning the unsuccessful attempt to build a bonfire in the yard. But we feel compelled to censure any proceeding upon the part of the students which will tend to endanger college property. Under the supervision of our efficient trainer, the track athletics of Harvard are in a more flourishing condition than ever before in the history of the college. Both old and new men this year seem filled with an enthusiasm which it is very gratifying to see, while the results attained are equally encouraging to all interested in the success of Harvard in the inter-collegiate games.
